Lecture & Slide presentation with head skeletal relationship, Isometric & Isotonic behavior of head & neck muscles & input to the central nervous system.


Session II: ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY Lecture

Date: October 17, 2009
Gnatho-orthopedic relationships, relating to growth, position of mandibular orthodontic approaches.


Session III: ARTICULATORS & ARTICULATI0N Clinic & Laboratory
Clinicians: Dr. Steve Silberg, Paul Federico, William Baum & Vincent Alleluia
Date: October 31, 2009
Demonstration of capturing centric relations & transferring same to articulators. The importance of anatomical mechanical equivalence relating to the quality of function to the patient. Lecture, slides, videotape.


Session IV: FIXED & VARIABLE DETERMINANTS Lecture & Laboratory

The relationship between mandibular movement & surfaces of the teeth which encompasses anterior guidance & posterior function.

Session VI & VII: FUNCTIONAL WAXING COURSE Lecture & Hands-On in Lab.

Dates: December 19, 2009 and January 9, 2010
Conceptual approach to group cusp-to-fossa occlusion, wax-up & customizing anterior guidance.
Lecture, slides & hands-on. Handpiece & engine required.


Session VIII & Session IX: MOUTH REHABILITATION Lecture & Hands-On in Lab.
Clinicians: Dr. Richard Sousa, Dr. S. Silberg, Paul Federico & William Baum
Dates: January 23 and February 6, 2010
Lecture & hands-on involving partial designs, various attachment components & the use of milling equipment.


Session X & Session XI: DENTURES - AESTHETIC & FUNCTIONAL SETTING OF TEETH
Lecture & Hands-On in Lab. – 2 Days
Clinicians: Marcos Valdes, Mario Zerillo, Angelo Calcagno & Vincent Alleluia
Dates: February 20 and March 6, 2010
Setting of anterior & posterior teeth using anatomical landmarks. Comprehension of various types of occlusion.


Session XII: EQUILIBRATION OF BILATERAL OCCLUSION Lecture & Laboratory

Step-by-step grinding prematurities & developing proper functional inclines & attaining centric holds.

Behavior & results of materials used to fabricate prosthetic prosthesis.


Session XV & Session XVI: PRINCIPLES OF IMPLANTOLOGY Lecture & Lab. Demos.

Dates: May 8 and May 22, 2010
Clinical evaluation of patient prior to invasive procedure. Diagnostic analysis of patient utilizing
mounted models on semi-adjustable instruments.


Session XVII: REVIEWS Lecture & Lab. Demos.

Angelo Calcagno & Vincent Alleluia
Dates: June 5, 2010 and June 19, 2010
Time set aside for reviewing written examinations & extra time as needed.


Final Sessions: FULL MAXILLARY & MANDIBULAR & GNATHOLOGICAL WAX-UP
5 Days of Hands-On in Laboratory
Clinicians: Marcos Valdes, Mario Zerillo, Angelo Calcagno & Vincent Alleluia
Dates: July 10, July 24, Aug. 7, Aug. 21 and Aug. 26, 2010
Tutoring approach to reorganizing posterior occlusion & anterior guidance. Preparation for appearance before ASMDT Board of Examiners on September 11, 2010

 

Upon course completion, students receive 150 hours of CDT Credits and 120 hours of Homework Credits.
